Karissa and Mike’s William Penn Wedding

When Karissa and Mike hired me to photograph their William Penn wedding, I got to know them better during their engagement session. Not only are they some of the coolest people on earth, but I learned about who they are. Karissa is heavily involved with the Alzheimer’s community. Her mother suffered from the disease, so she dedicated her time and energy to raise awareness for the cause. She is also a bad ass rugby player (I begged her to stop before the wedding to avoid bruises) and can lift Volkswagens from a deadlift. Ok that part might have been made up. Mike is just an overall cool dude with an awesome demeanor and a generous heart.

Karissa and Mike’s William Penn wedding was not only filled with loving and adoring family and friends, but tributes to her mom. From the outdoor ceremony to the awesome party, my team had a great time celebrating alongside them. And how adorable are the flower girls and ring bearer? Be sure to find photos of them being silly and stealing the spotlight!

JWP wishes Karissa and Mike a lifetime of happiness, love and laughter. Here are some of my favorites from their awesome wedding!

Wedding Day Details

This William Penn Inn wedding was captured by James and Eric. Karissa used the bridal suite while Mike utilized the George Washington suite to prep for their big day. The outdoor ceremony and reception were all held at the historic landmark. Built in the 1700’s, the Inn has been a local landmark and continues to thrive with a bakery, restaurant, hotel and event space.
