Golden Hour Engagement Session at Whitesbog | Laura & Adam

Some engagement sessions just feel easy, and that’s exactly how Laura and Adam’s session at Whitesbog felt.

Because these two love the outdoors and beautiful scenery, Whitesbog was the perfect choice for their engagement photos. Tucked away in the New Jersey Pine Barrens, the historic village and cranberry bogs offer some of the most unique scenery in South Jersey, especially during the fall.

Mother Nature gave us a gorgeous October evening. The weather was perfect, and as the sun began to set, the property was covered in beautiful golden light.

Laura and Adam were completely at ease together throughout the session. They laughed, explored the grounds, and simply enjoyed spending time together. Those are always my favorite sessions because the photos feel natural and genuinely reflect who a couple is.

My favorite image from the evening came just before sunset. We found ourselves surrounded by tall reeds near one of the bogs as the low October sun backlit the scene. With the warm light wrapping around them and the bog in the background, it created one of those magical moments that photographers dream about.

I always encourage couples to choose a location that feels like them, and Whitesbog couldn’t have been a better fit for Laura and Adam. Between the beautiful scenery, perfect weather, and incredible golden light, this session was the perfect way to celebrate this exciting season of their lives.
