Penn Oaks Country Club Wedding | Katie and Josh

I wrapped up 2019 with Katie and Josh’s Penn Oaks Country Club wedding. Shooting at a new place can be a little intimidating, but it’s easy with an awesome couple, fun bridal party and a jumping party! I almost even cried a few times. Don’t judge, it was emotional.

We started our day with Katie in the bridal suite where the girls were just chilling and having a great time! Once Josh arrived, we set up their first look. Josh was so nervous and promised himself he wouldn’t cry…yeah that didn’t work. Once they saw each other all the excitement and nervousness poured out and all they could do was kiss and hold each other. Enter almost cried event #1.

Once we got our $hit together and we knocked out bridal party and family formalities, we capturing some pretty cool portraits for Katie and Josh. She had the absolute perfect veil to add a little drama to the photos! We spent some time meandering around before heading inside as the rain started to fall. Somewhere along the way I lost my Contigo water bottle…never to be seen again. Almost crying event #2.

Katie’s twin brothers had the honor of walking her down the aisle and Josh’s grandfather led the ceremony. After the beautiful ceremony the reception was kicked off with the traditional dances, until Katie surprised her mom with a special mother/daughter dance. There was not a dry eye in the place. Enter almost crying event #3. Ace DJ kicked off the night with a little MJ. He skipped over the traditional Mo-Town and into Usher, Ludacris, Lizzo and other songs usually saved for the end of the night. Thats how you get a party started!!!

Needless to say, I ended my 2019 wedding season with a bang and couldn’t wait to share these photos. Here are some of my favorites from Katie and Josh’s Penn Oaks wedding!
