Melissa and Alex | The Park Savoy Estate Wedding
Melissa and Alex’s wedding at The Park Savoy Estate was everything a late summer celebration should be—warm, lively, and full of laughter. These two are the perfect mix of fun, energy, and heart, and their day reflected exactly that, but I already knew that from their engagement photos!
We kicked off the morning in two different places that meant the world to them. Melissa got ready at her childhood home with her mom, sister, and bridesmaids. The girls toasted with champagne—right before a celebratory spray nailed me in the back of the head. (Anything for the photo, right?) Meanwhile, Alex prepped at his own childhood home with his mom, brother, and groomsmen.
Melissa had a sweet first look with her bridesmaids that melted everyone’s hearts. Alex shared a quiet first look with his mom that had the same effect. Then, the groomsmen came over for their turn—only to be met with Melissa’s surprise “icing” attack with Smirnoff. Her dad had his moment next, with an emotional first look that needed no words.
Finally, Melissa met Alex for a first touch on the side of the house. They didn’t see each other, but held hands and read personal vows. It was quiet, emotional, and perfect.
Afterward, the girls and guys piled into the limo while Melissa and her dad took her uncle’s car to St. Philomena’s Church. The ceremony was beautiful, and their guests couldn’t take their eyes off them. Once they sealed the deal with a kiss, we jumped right into family formals and made our way to the party.
On the limo bus ride to The Park Savoy Estate, the bridal party kept the energy high. This bridal party was packed with family and lifelong friends who have danced, laughed, and celebrated together for years. I’ve known several of them from past weddings, so being part of this crew again felt like a reunion.
We rolled into The Park Savoy Estate’s lush gardens for bridal party portraits, then took some time for Melissa and Alex’s romantic photos. This venue is a photographer’s dream—manicured gardens, elegant architecture, and endless photo-worthy corners inside and out.
Incredible food and excited guests packed cocktail hour! I was able to pack my typical 2000 calories in 5 minutes with no problem. Soon after, Melissa and Alex made their grand entrance, sharing their first dance as husband and wife. The energy shifted for a heartfelt moment when Alex gave a speech honoring his father, who had passed just a few months earlier. The entire room rose for a standing ovation, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
Speaking of tears, we have to talk about Erica, one of the bridesmaids. Known for crying at every wedding moment, she didn’t disappoint—dress reveal? Tears. Ceremony? Tears. First dances? Tears. By the end of the night, I think she had cried enough for all of us.
Once the formalities wrapped, DJ ALX turned up the volume and the dance floor exploded. Friends and family celebrated like it was the only party that mattered, and honestly, it felt like it was.
Melissa and Alex’s wedding wasn’t just a day—it was a celebration of love, laughter, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with a life well-lived. And these Park Savoy Estate wedding photos? They’re a perfect reflection of that joy.
