When Jamie and Michael chose Asbury Park for their engagement session, I couldn’t have been more excited. This iconic spot offers endless creative opportunities for a NJ wedding photographer like me. From vibrant murals to stunning beach views, Asbury Park delivers a perfect mix of urban charm and coastal beauty.

Jamie and I already had a connection. She was a bridesmaid in her aunt’s wedding, so she knew my style and felt comfortable in front of my lens. That comfort made capturing authentic moments between her and Michael effortless.

We started at the colorful murals near the boardwalk, where the bold tones and geometric lines added energy to their portraits. Jamie and Michael’s laughter and playful personalities brought the photos to life. From there, we moved to the vintage architecture, using the leading lines to create dramatic, romantic shots.

As the sun dipped lower, we headed to the beach for golden hour magic. The setting October sun lit the clouds in hues of purple and pink, giving their photos a dreamy, timeless feel. Jamie and Michael embraced and walked along the shore, soaking in the moment as the waves gently rolled in.
