Weddings on the water always have a special kind of magic, and Jamie and Mike’s Crystal Point Yacht Club wedding in Point Pleasant, NJ was no exception. The entire day was full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and incredible energy from start to finish.

Jamie spent the morning getting ready with her girls and mom at a nearby hotel. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as everyone helped her into her dress. Meanwhile, Mike prepped with his guys in the groom’s suite at Crystal Point Yacht Club, enjoying laughs and good vibes before the day officially kicked off.

Once ready, Jamie shared a sweet and emotional first look with her dad. Afterward, both Jamie and Mike exchanged thoughtful gifts and heartfelt notes in their respective rooms. It was the perfect way to calm nerves and remind them of the love that brought them to this moment.

Their first look was one of the most unique I’ve ever photographed. On a patio overlooking the harbor, they stood back-to-back, then turned around at the same time. The instant they saw each other, they broke into smiles, laughed, and immediately ran into each other’s arms. After sharing private vows, we took portraits around the venue, capturing the love and joy between them. We then gathered the bridal party for some energetic group photos and rounded out the pre-ceremony time with family formals. Of course, we couldn’t skip photos at the cocktail bar — one of the most iconic spots inside Crystal Point Yacht Club.

The ceremony took place in the newly renovated ceremony space downstairs. With its beautiful setup and intimate atmosphere, it was the perfect backdrop for their vows. Short, sweet, and filled with emotion, it set the stage for an evening no one would forget.

Cocktail hour was next-level. I’ve photographed countless venues, but Crystal Point Yacht Club’s spread is unmatched. From fresh oysters and build-your-own tacos to creamy pasta and even a bacon bar, there was truly something for everyone. Guests couldn’t stop raving about the food — and honestly, neither could I! To top it off…a rainbow appeared as I was grabbing a couple of quick photos of Jamie and Mike!

The reception brought all the energy. Guests packed the dance floor and celebrated Jamie and Mike’s love late into the night. Among the many personal touches, one stood out most: a heartfelt tribute to Mike’s best friend, who lost his life serving our country. His military jacket was placed over a chair in his honor, a powerful reminder of love, sacrifice, and friendship.

The night also had plenty of lighthearted moments, like the ring bearers who were living their best lives. Fueled by Shirley Temples, they tore it up on the dance floor — eventually losing their shirts! It was hilarious, genuine, and one of my favorite memories of the day.

Jamie and Mike’s Crystal Point Yacht Club wedding was a true celebration of love, family, and unforgettable moments. From the emotional first look to the packed dance floor, it was a day I’ll never forget.
